Photos-only editing on your device

現 (Gen) by iR is a photo editor. It requests photo-library access only so you can open, display, edit, and save your own photos. Editing happens on your device.

• The app does not require an account.
• The app itself does not upload, share, transmit, or send your photos, edits, or related project data to any server, backend, or external service as part of normal app use.
• If you choose to email support, we receive only the information you include in that message.

What may be written when you export

When you export an edited image, the exported file may preserve relevant original image metadata where the source image and the selected export format support it.

• This can include information such as capture date, location, and camera metadata.
• The app may also add limited app-generated metadata such as software identification, refreshed image identifiers, and lightweight app-specific resume markers.
• To support resuming work later, the app may keep local on-device project data that describes the edit steps used on an image and may place a lightweight marker in an exported file so the app can reconnect that export to the local project.
• That local project data and exported-file metadata stay on your devices and in the files you save unless you choose to share those files yourself.

Local data stays under your control

Gen has no account or server-side project store. Local project snapshots, preferences, tutorial state, and temporary editing data remain in the app or on your device until you remove them. Uninstalling Gen removes its app-container projects and settings; exported photos and files must be deleted separately from Photos, Files, or any backup service where you chose to keep them.

• Review an export before sharing it: an exported image may include source capture date, location, or camera metadata.
• If you email support, the message and anything you include are delivered to the support mailbox. Contact support-gen@irdev.us to ask about deletion of support correspondence.
• Apple services such as Photos syncing, device backups, AirDrop, Mail, and Messages apply their own retention and deletion controls.

No in-app backend collection or transmission of user image data

現 (Gen) by iR does not upload, share, transmit, or send your photos, edits, or related user data to an iR server, backend, or external service as part of normal app use. The app itself does not perform user-data web requests or background uploads on its own.

• Because the app does not receive that data as part of normal use, it does not sell user data.
• Because the app does not send that data to third-party analytics, advertising, or data-partner services, it does not share your photos, edits, or related user data with them.
• The app does not use third-party advertising trackers to monitor your photos or product usage.
• If you choose to use Apple or other platform features outside the app, such as system photo syncing, device backups, AirDrop, Mail, or Messages, those services may handle copies of your files under their own terms and settings. That behavior is outside the app's control.

No advertisers or third-party data partners

現 (Gen) by iR does not include advertisers that collect data about customers or product usage, and it does not include third-party analytics or advertising partners for profiling, targeting, or resale of your information.
